18! & The Pains of Being Pure At Heart!

It was my birthday last month on the 21st.

I'm finally eighteen.

It's kind of weird since now I have to sign all of my own forms and whatever else, it's going to take some getting used to.

I have some news as well, just figured I would update here already since I'm so bad about it.

First off, a couple of years ago, I was asked by a band to use one of my photos on my Flickr account as their album cover. I was like, sure, why not? I just asked them to credit me. I didn't figure anything would come of it.
So, I would say a month ago, I was browing iTunes and came across that band. I recognized the photo and went, "Ohmygod! That's my face!"
Btw, that band is The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, and you should all go listen to them because they are amazing. I believe the New York Times did an article about them and gave them rave reviews.

Anyways, I got in touch with the band and they told me how grateful they are for the photo. They are going to send me two t-shirts so I can get my promotin' on, ha.

Also, it was weird since today I was on one of my favorite sites, called Buzzfeed.com, and I saw that the co-founder did a little link to the NY Times article about the band and mentioned on how one of the contributors was in the band. Her name is Peggy Wang, and I had absolutely NO IDEA until today. I commented the post and the co-founder said I should post some of my photos on Buzzfeed and he said that was neat that I did the photo for the cover. I commented back saying, "What in the world would I post?"

So that's my big news. I thought it was incredibly cool, and some of my friends have asked me recently why my face is on a cover and one of my online friends, Stacy, sent me a link to Urban Outfitters with them selling the CD and vinyl.

So go listen to them! :D

Kendra is an eighteen year-old girl who is constantly being mistaken for twelve. She is very excited for the day when she hits the triple digit mark in her weight, which she knows is kind of pathetic.
Her nose has been compared to a strawberry, a truffle, and a mushroom. Her eyelashes are not fake, thank you genetics. She changes her hair a lot, since she figures it can always grow back, but currently she is growing it out long so she can flip it back like in hair commercials.
She is extremely girly but loves horror movies as well as random types of music. She reads far too much for her own good and knows too many useless facts. She has been known to watch and read the occasional anime or manga & graphic novel since she is a total geek, and she likes sketching on the margins of her school papers.
She is also completely unreliable in any sort of math calculations & her worst nightmare is having to work the register at a job.
She plans to major in international relations so she can save the world. Her minor will be something considered useless in Tucson, AZ, like French or Mandarin Chinese, but will benefit her evil plan.
Photography will somehow fit into all of it.
